Falkirk Business Club Meeting 20th  May

Tim Sandford - Market Transformations

Tim's "recessions are opportunities for growth, with the right messages" presentation  marked a return to the expert presentation and  knowledge format which was well received by all members. Networking opportunities were again made full use of and continued over a varied lunch. We would like to thank all members for their attendance and look forward to seeing them all at the next meeting.

Falkirk Business Club Meeting 21st April

The Next Speaker is ........... YOU !
The April Falkirk Business Club meeting was a break from the norm with the members of the club given the opportunity to do a two minute “Elevator” pitch about their business.

It was surprising that so many members kept very near to the two minutes allocated, and we thank them for that. The meeting was well attended and most seemed genuinely interested in the various speakers  subjects.
All in the room I am sure, now have a far greater understanding of each others businesses and what they can offer. This led to another successful networking session over the usual pleasant lunch, and seemed somehow to bring the members together. Well done to all who stood up and made a professional job of explaining who they were and what they do, and of course promoting their businesses

We look forward to seeing all members back at our next meeting on 20th May.

Falkirk Business Club Meeting 18th March

Our recent Falkirk Business Club meeting was well attended and our speakers Tom Neilson & Anita Patterson covered “The Business Benefits of Maintaining a Safe and Healthy Workforce”. Their knowledge and enthusiasm was appreciated by all and lead to some very lively debate all across the room.

We would like to thank all attendees for their participation in the debate, and their contribution to the club atmosphere of the meeting in general. This continued with the friendly and productive networking session which followed while enjoying a pleasant lunch.

We look forward to seeing all members back at our next meeting on 22nd April when we will be incorporating a slightly different and interesting format ……. Watch this space …

Falkirk Business Club Meeting 18th February

Paul Conway of Paul’s Quality Butchers

Many thanks to Paul Conway who gave a very honest and interesting talk to our members at the February meeting.

Falkirk Business Club Meeting 21st January

Our speaker for the January meeting of the club was Ronnie Fergus of Envirotec who gave an interesting talk on "Using Health & Safety as a development tool" , an unusual slant on an everyday, but essential topic. This was well received by members who enjoyed a relaxed lunch and the opportunity for the usual face to face networking that the club revolves around.

Falkirk Business Club Meeting 10th December

Falkirk  Business Club Meeting 29th October

Our presenter was George Craig,

Managing Director of Falkirk Football Club.

George left a successful local business to become a Director of Falkirk FC, only to find the club was in dire financial straits.  He was one of the founding directors of a marquee hire company Amicable Marquees.  A life long Falkirk fan, however, he could not resist the opportunity to join the Board at Brockville .

George will tell how he set about leading the Club to become one of the few business successes in Scottish football.

A major part of George's success at Falkirk FC has been built on increasing the Club's involvement in the local community through networking and partnership.  Although the team's fortunes on the field on a Saturday are still extremely important their involvement in youth coaching and development has gained equal importance.

George's straightforward approach to business and infectious enthusiasm will motivate and inspire you.

Launch Events 17th September and 1st October 2008

It is my pleasure to announce the launch of the Falkirk Business Club organised and hosted by Falkirk Enterprise Action Trust.

On the 17th September 2008, and due to the tremendous demand the
1st October, at the FEAT Training and Conference Centre, we launched a new club designed to give business people in the Falkirk area an opportunity to learn about successful business practice, promote their businesses and build strong local networks both offline and online.

We would like to thank all participants, firstly for coming along, and secondly for making the event a great success. Everybody seemed to enjoy the food and the opportunity to network with other Falkirk Businesses, in a pleasant environment. We look forward to welcoming many of the attendees as Falkirk Business Club Members.

Speakers Russell Parker (FEAT) and Jack Marshall (Tapside)
